Magerit, place of many streams, that’s the arab original meaning for Spain’s capital city, fitting well with what FilmArte is all about: From every corner of the world, artistic streams unite here. Moreover: Artists unite and exchange their thoughts.
The festival is an opportunity for dialog and cooperation between artists.
We aim to become one of the important meeting places for artists to show their creative talents.
FilmArte aims to showcase films related to the arts. From documentaries on artists to experimental film art. Furthermore, FilmArte´s intention is to mingle different ways to express oneself through art.
Taking place twice a year, located within the young, alternative, and vibrating borough Malasaña, in the very heart of Madrid. To honor the very best, FilmArte will take two days to screening all finalists’ films.
For spring 2019 we will give a special space to films related to music and musicians. Whether documentary or fiction film, short or feature, animation or experimental: We want to discover new stories related to music, maybe your new video clip. Show us how music moves the world within you and the vision of the world!
