Kavery Kaul is an award-winning director of documentaries shown in theaters and on television worldwide. Her work has been screened at festivals — Telluride, Rotterdam, London, DOC NYC, Sydney, in India, Japan, Burkina Faso, and Italy. Born in India and brought up in the US, her cultural background is unbounded. Her credits include BACK WALKING FORWARD, called “an amazing, absorbing documentary about traumatic brain injury” by ABCTV News’ Bob Woodruff; LONG WAY FROM HOME, a Time Out, Booklist, and Film Threat Critic’s Pick; and the critically-acclaimed ONE HAND DON’T CLAP. A TEDx speaker on the importance of stories that connect people, she received a Fulbright Fellowship, the Best Cultural Film Award (Havana), and a Proclamation of Excellence from New York City for her work.
